I love Frida Kahlo, and in this mixed-media piece, I drew a contemplative Frida with all her native jewelry and the hand earring that Picasso gave her symbolizing the realization that we all need a helping hand. I put images from nature onto her head because she surrounded herself with beautiful plants. I drew her with her native jewelry and clothing because she embraced her native background!
